Hello, my name is Ashley Catherine Roberts and I am a mental health practitioner (LPC) here at Quality Physical Therapy & Wellness.
As a therapist, I integrate Somatic Experiencing techniques into my practice. Somatic Experiencing is a method for relieving/releasing chronic stress and resolving a wide range of symptoms.
This methodology does not require the client to re-tell or re-live stories and events. Instead, It offers the opportunity to engage, complete, and resolve, in a slow and supported way, the body's instinctual fight, flight, and freeze responses.
This resets the nervous system, restores inner balance, enhances resilience to stress, and increases our individual vitality. At times, we have barriers and unresolved elements of experience that can create patterns in and throughout our lives and our relationships. Patterns can dictate our past, present, and future if left unattended.
I believe we can all become disconnected and feel "outside of ourselves" and feel like an observer in our own lives. I would be honored to join you on your journey, filled with curiosities, to discover more about the complex self
